Want flawless brows? Here’s how to prep before your brow appointment for waxing, tinting, or brow staining

1. Arrive With Clean Skin

Please come in with a clean face — no makeup, lotion, or sunscreen on or around your brows. This helps the wax and tint adhere properly and reduces irritation.

2. Avoid Exfoliants & Retinols

For at least 3–5 days before your appointment, avoid:

  • Retin-A or other retinoids

  • Glycolic/salicylic acid

  • Exfoliating scrubs
These ingredients can make your skin more sensitive and prone to irritation or lifting during waxing.

3. Skip the Tweezers

Avoid tweezing or trimming before your appointment. Let your esthetician shape your brows with precision — even those tiny hairs help map the perfect brow.

4. No Tanning or Peels Before

Please avoid spray tans, sunbathing, or chemical peels for at least 48 hours before your service. These can affect the outcome of your tint or cause irritation.

5. Let Us Know About Medications or Skin Sensitivities

If you’re using acne treatments, taking medication that affects the skin, or have ever had a reaction to dye or wax, let us know in advance so we can customize your service safely.

6. Aftercare Starts at Prep

Healthy skin = better, longer-lasting results. Stay hydrated, moisturize regularly (except the day of), and avoid harsh products around the brow area leading up to your appointment.
