Lash Extension Aftercare
By CoCo Esthetic’s
Protect your lashes. Keep them lush.
Your new lashes are in — now let’s keep them looking full, beautiful, and lasting as long as possible! Follow these simple tips:
1. Keep Lashes Dry for 24 Hours
Avoid water, steam, sweat, or tears for the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully bond.
No showers, saunas, facials, or swimming during this time.
2. Be Gentle
Don’t rub, tug, or play with your lashes.
Try to sleep on your back or side to avoid lash crush.
Avoid using eyelash curlers — your extensions are already curled!
3. Avoid Oil-Based Products
Oil breaks down lash adhesive.
Use oil-free cleansers and makeup removers, especially around the eyes.
Skip oil-based serums and eye creams near your lash line.
4. Clean Your Lashes Regularly
Gently cleanse lashes with a lash-safe cleanser 3–4 times a week (or daily if you wear makeup).
Use a soft brush or your fingertips — never cotton pads or wipes, which can snag.
5. No Mascara or Eyeliner on Extensions
Mascara and pencil liners can cause buildup, clumping, and poor retention.
If needed, use only extension-safe products.
6. Schedule Regular Fills
To maintain a full look, book fills every 2–3 weeks.
Don’t wait too long — excessive shedding may require a new full set.
