Lash Extension Aftercare

By CoCo Esthetic’s

Protect your lashes. Keep them lush.

Your new lashes are in — now let’s keep them looking full, beautiful, and lasting as long as possible! Follow these simple tips:

1. Keep Lashes Dry for 24 Hours

  • Avoid water, steam, sweat, or tears for the first 24 hours to allow the adhesive to fully bond.

  • No showers, saunas, facials, or swimming during this time.

2. Be Gentle

  • Don’t rub, tug, or play with your lashes.

  • Try to sleep on your back or side to avoid lash crush.

  • Avoid using eyelash curlers — your extensions are already curled!

3. Avoid Oil-Based Products

  • Oil breaks down lash adhesive.

  • Use oil-free cleansers and makeup removers, especially around the eyes.

  • Skip oil-based serums and eye creams near your lash line.

4. Clean Your Lashes Regularly

  • Gently cleanse lashes with a lash-safe cleanser 3–4 times a week (or daily if you wear makeup).

  • Use a soft brush or your fingertips — never cotton pads or wipes, which can snag.

5. No Mascara or Eyeliner on Extensions

  • Mascara and pencil liners can cause buildup, clumping, and poor retention.

  • If needed, use only extension-safe products.

6. Schedule Regular Fills

  • To maintain a full look, book fills every 2–3 weeks.

  • Don’t wait too long — excessive shedding may require a new full set.
